- Automatic capacitive discharge pulse degausser. The Garner HD-3XTL-e IRONCLAD system combines the automatic HD-3XTL-e degausser with the unique IRONCLAD verification system. The Garner HD-3XTL-e IRONCLAD degausser is suitable for fast and effective erasure of hard disk drives and tapes and offers a complete verification system. The degausser is simpel to operate; a hard disk drive is inserted into the opening on the side. In only three seconds, the disc is degaussed internally and ejected out of the degausser on the other side. The Garner HD-3XTL-e IRONCLAD uses a "capacitive discharge". A short powerful electromagnetic pulse (10,000 Gauss) is sent through the hard disk. This discharge is powerful enough to erase data on hard drives of 2 TB and larger. The unique Garner IRONCLAD system consists of an automatic camera module, a touchscreen control panel, a barcode scanner and the Garner Erasure Report software. Information from each hard disk drive such as serial number, date/time and user ID is recorded via the software and barcode scanner before erasure. After degaussing, the external camera module automatically takes a picture of the top of the ejected hard disk. These pictures of each degaussed drive are recorded together with the degauss result and the other information entered in the IRONCLAD log for auditing or reporting purposes. In addition to erasing hard drives, the Garner HD-3XTL-e degausser is also suitable for erasing various magnetic tapes such as DLT, LTO, 9940, 3590, AIT, 8mm and more. To ensure that information on hard disk and tape is effectively removed, HD-3XTL-e has a number of built-in security measures; the degausser checks the stored power for each cycle. A built-in sensor also measures the magnetic field with each discharge. Any faults are shown via the LCD display. This ensures correct operation of the degausser. Specifications
