- NSA Evaluated security degausser for hard disks and tapes. The Garner TS-1XT-e IRONCLAD combines the "NSA Evaluated" TS-1XT-e degausser with the unique Garner IRONCLAD verification system. The Garner TS-1XT-e IRONCLAD degausser is suitable for fast and effective erasure of hard disk drives and tapes and offers a complete verification system. The degausser operation is simple; media is loaded into the Garner TS-1XT-e front drawer. With the press of a button the degauss cycle of only 15 seconds is started; a very strong electromagnetic pulse of 20,000 gauss is sent through the data carrier. This allows hard drives up to 5,000 Oersted and tapes up to 3,000 Oersted to be erased. The unique Garner IRONCLAD system consists of an automatic camera module, a touchscreen control panel, a barcode scanner and the Garner Erasure Report software. Information from each hard disk drive such as serial number, date/time and user ID is recorded via the software and barcode scanner before erasure. After degaussing, the external camera module takes a picture of the top of the ejected hard drive. The photo of each degauss cycle is recorded together with the degauss result and the other information entered in the IRONCLAD log for auditing or reporting purposes. To ensure that information on hard disks and tapes is effectively removed, the Garner TS-1XT-e has a number of built-in security measures; the degausser checks the stored power before each cycle. A built-in Gauss sensor also measures the magnetic field during each discharge. Any faults are shown via the LCD display. This ensures correct operation of the degausser. The Garner TS-1XT-e can optionally be supplied with a mobile transport case. This allows the system to be safely and easily transported for erasing hard drives on location. The Garner TS-1XT-e degausser can be combined with the Garner PD-5e Crusher for physical destruction of hard drives after degaussing. Specifications
