The new ASM240+ from ProDevice is a powerful pulse degausser with a number of special functions. The ProDevice ASM240+ uses a very powerful magnetic discharge (capacitive discharge) of up to 22,000 Gauss. This allows information on hard disk drives (2+ TB) and magnetic tapes to be removed quickly and safely.

Hard disks or tapes are inserted into the opening on the side of the ProDevice ASM240+. This automatically starts the degauss cycle. The LCD display shows the status of the degauss cycle. The hard disk is automatically fed through the degausser and as soon as the degauss cycle is successfully completed, the disk is ejected from the degausser on the other side. The entire degauss cycle takes only 5 seconds.

The ProDevice ASM240+ degausser offers software tools, an internal camera and mobile app to record and review information for every degaussed hard drive. Logfiles can be created with the software tools; scanned barcode, photo, date, cycle number and assessment of the discharge can be read out for reporting and auditing purposes. The ProDevice ASM240+ uses a TCP/IP network connection. This makes it possible to operate or monitor a networked ASM240+ degausser from anywhere in the world.

The ProDevice ASM240+ degausser also offers PPMS technology (Pre-Paid Management System). This allows the system to be used for rental purposes. The system can be managed via the Admin software, even remotely. For example, the maximum number of degauss cycles can be set.
