The MediaGone 500 from VS Security Products is a flash media shredder suitable for use in any office environment. The MediaGone 500 can safely and easily destroy a wide range of flash media. In addition to SSD's, the MediaGone can destroy USB drives, memory cards, NVMe M.2 drives, optical media (CD, DVD, Blu-Ray), and smartphones at the touch of a button.

The MediaGone 500 shredder offers two settings: "coarse" and "fine." With the "coarse" setting, the MediaGone 500 shreds media into particles averaging 4 x 10 mm, meeting DIN 66399 / ISO 21964 Security Levels E-4, T-5, and O-4. When the "fine" setting is used, SSD's (PCB boards) can be destroyed to security level E-5. A transparent polycarbonate dome and internal LED lighting allow users to safely observe the destruction of SSD's, flash drives, optical media, or phones. The MediaGone 500 is easily operated via an LCD touchscreen, which provides access to all the shredder's functions and settings.

The optional DD Imager module offers the perfect solution for fully documenting media destruction. Capture high-quality images of every hard drive to ensure the highest level of security. The DD Imager integrates seamlessly with Data Destruction Auditor software, adding visual evidence to every cycle. It not only captures these crucial images but also incorporates them into erasure certificates. This ensures that every step of the media destruction process is accurately documented.

The MediaGone 500 is available as a tabletop model or, optionally, with a specially designed trolley for easy mobility. With the tabletop model, shredded material is collected in a 5.3-liter bin that is easily removed when full. The trolley version features an infrared detection system that notifies the user via the display when the collection bin is full and needs emptying. The 25-liter bin is accessible through a transparent polycarbonate door at the front of the shredder trolley.

The MediaGone 500 is equipped with hardened carbon steel blades and a high-torque, non-slip drive system. Despite this, the shredder can be used in any office environment using a standard 230V power connection. Thermal sensors protect the shredder's drive system against malfunctions or damage. The unit also features an emergency stop and a key-operated safety lock.
